Updating an existing installation

The version of Extended Pascal currently available for download is 3.2.07. If the version you have already installed is earlier than this, you have an opportunity to update it; however, if you already have 3.2.07 there is no advantage in proceeding further at this time. The download version will shortly be updated to 3.2.08, and it will be made clear when the change is made. (You can discover the version of your current software by selecting Version in the Workbench Option menu.)

The software is packed into an executable file of about 3.6 Mbytes, and there is a link at the bottom of the previous page that will take you to a download request form. When the downloaded file is executed, it unpacks the software and enters the Setup program, which detects the existing Extended Pascal installation. There are Setup options that allow you to limit the items that will be updated, but by default all files will be brought up to date. The registry information is left unchanged by Setup unless the current validity is less than three years, in which case it will be extended.

The software includes on-line documents and manuals in machine-readable form, and there is information in the form of a textfile on more recent changes.
